Padbury will undertake the full environmental studies and legislative requirements required to progress approvals for the development of its Peak Hill Iron Joint Venture.
The Company recently appointed environmental consultants GHD to undertake spring flora and fauna assessments at the Peak Hill Iron Project. These surveys are a critical component of the government environmental approvals process and are underway at Peak Hill’s key Mt Padbury and Telecom Hill tenements.
Heritage
In May 2011, Padbury undertook Heritage Surveys with the assistance of the Jidi Jidi Indigenous Community. These surveys are necessary prior to commencement of any drilling programs.
The work at the Mt Padbury and Telecom Hill deposits included the identification and flagging of artefacts to ensure drilling does not disturb any areas of heritage and cultural significance.
